Green Smoothie!
Doesn't it look delicious?
Ok, to some of you it may not look extremely appetizing, but to those of us who make them, it looks like energy and health in a cup!
I found this neat chart for making a great smoothie:
Here's my favorite green smoothie recipe!
-1 cup of coconut water
-1 cup of coconut water
-2 cups of spinach
-1 T coconut oil
-1 T chia seeds
-1 capsule bee pollen or raw maca (switch every other day)
-4 clementine oranges
-1 whole apple
-1 whole banana, sliced
-5-10 ice cubes
This recipe is sweet enough that I do not add any sweeteners. (Thank you apples and oranges.)
Cacao is also fun to use, and it helps build your immune system, but some people, like myself, can't use it because we are particularly sensitive to the energizing components. It turns me into an insomniac.
Fun Fact: 8oz. Coconut water contains more electrolytes than 10 Gatorades

As it says on the chart, coconut water is great for us athletes, because it's energizing. Coconut water is an incredible hydrating beverage. It's packed full of potassium and antioxidants, as well as Cytokinins, which are also known as anti-aging hormones. They've been known to help cure cancer, clear up bladder infections, and even dissolve kidney stones. Moral of the story? Drink coconut water.
"..Pain is temporary. It may last for a minute, or an hour, or a day, or even a year. But sooner or later, it will subside, and something else will take it's place. If I quit, however, it will last forever..."
Stay tuned for some photography in (hopefully) my next post!
