Weekends are like Christmas... Every 7 Days.

Holy, oh my goodness...!
The last 2 days have been crazy and awesome!

I went shopping with my friend Kirsten, and I got some dang cute stuff. The dress I bought will definitely be featured here once I get it tailored!

Here's my outfit from today. The shirt is a really pretty mint green, but the camera didn't want to pick up the color...

Fun hair flipping.

Shirt: Forever21   Pants: Forever21   Jacket: Thrifted   Boots: Payless   Pearls: Hand-me-down

I'm a pretty big t-shirt and jeans girl, so you'll notice that my style sticks pretty well to that. I rarely wear skirts and dresses, but summer is coming up, so I think you''ll be seeing a lot more of that.

Kirsten and I spent some time at the park today. She's such a fun girl!

What have you been doing for the past two days that's been so fun Morgan?

I knew you would ask!
To most people my last couple days would not sound super eventful, or even fun, but I am happiest when I'm kept busy no matter what it is that's keeping me busy.

This weekend, I cleaned my room, my kitchen, and my car. My car was one of the nastiest things I have seen... Ok, not really, but it was pretty bad. I vacuumed it out and even steamed the carpets.

David came over around 6 o'clock to let me borrow his steam vac and his car got towed, which I felt really bad about. Luckily, though, we had an awesome night in spite of it. We grabbed some coffee at my favorite coffee place (Sunset Coffee), and went for a hike in Memory Grove. It was dark, quiet, and peaceful.

I also got to spend time with Kirsten, obviously, and today was quite wonderful.

It is now almost 11 pm, and I should be getting to bed. Tomorrow I head out to the gym again! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Love, Morgan

Eat Your Vegetables!

Green Smoothie!

Doesn't it look delicious?

Ok, to some of you it may not look extremely appetizing, but to those of us who make them, it looks like energy and health in a cup!

I found this neat chart for making a great smoothie:

Here's my favorite green smoothie recipe!
-1 cup of coconut water
-2 cups of spinach
-1 T coconut oil
-1 T chia seeds
-1 capsule bee pollen or raw maca (switch every other day)
-4 clementine oranges
-1 whole apple
-1 whole banana, sliced
-5-10 ice cubes

This recipe is sweet enough that I do not add any sweeteners. (Thank you apples and oranges.)
Cacao is also fun to use, and it helps build your immune system, but some people, like myself, can't use it because we are particularly sensitive to the energizing components. It turns me into an insomniac.

Fun Fact: 8oz. Coconut water contains more electrolytes than 10 Gatorades

As it says on the chart, coconut water is great for us athletes, because it's energizing. Coconut water is an incredible hydrating beverage. It's packed full of potassium and antioxidants, as well as Cytokinins, which are also known as anti-aging hormones. They've been known to help cure cancer, clear up bladder infections, and even dissolve kidney stones. Moral of the story? Drink coconut water.

"..Pain is temporary. It may last for a minute, or an hour, or a day, or even a year. But sooner or later, it will subside, and something else will take it's place. If I quit, however, it will last forever..."

Stay tuned for some photography in (hopefully) my next post!
Love, Morgan.
